Meditation Workshop 26 May 2013

“…A comprehensive introduction to meditation and very easy to follow. A friendly, pleasurable experience. Mehul and Miti are wonderful yoga teachers.”
Liza Timms

Under normal circumstances our minds are generating a constant stream of thoughts, usually reflecting our innermost concerns – worries about our health, our finances, our relationships, about what will happen in the future, or having some regrets about some aspect of our past, etc.  The Buddhists liken this chatter in our mind to that of drunken monkeys! Emerged in this chatter, we forget to live in and appreciate the present moment.

The goal of meditation is to gain control over our minds so that we can experience our true nature and gain access to the source of peace, contentment and bliss that resides within all of us.

In the workshop we will spend a little bit of time providing a background to what we mean by meditation, but most of the workshop will be practical. We will look at different techniques to help us with our meditation practice, such as: mindfulness, affirmations, visualisation, chanting (Mantra Yoga). We shall also be offering gentle hatha yoga, suitable for all participants, including beginners.

All our workshops are informative and fun, where you are encouraged to learn and participate in a warm and friendly environment.

Regular practice of meditation can help us to:

  • Overcome Stress
  • Reduce Anxiety
  • Improve Concentration, Memory and Mental Stamina
  • Strengthen our Immune System
  • Become Calmer
  • Reduce the impact of Medical Conditions
  • Feel Happier
  • Increase our sense of Inner Peace

Some Attendee Feedback…

“..Excellent.. Complex topics presented in a very simple way that enables them to be relevant to everyday life. A great motivation for using the skills, techniques and understanding taught to enhance my life… Thanks for the time and energy you have both put into making the workshop enjoyable and extremely helpful.. The warmth and care that radiates out from you both is a pleasure and delight to be around.”

“Very well planned and delivered with real feeling and enthusiasm, with no personal agenda but a sense that you are sharing this out of a desire to let others benefit from what you have discovered…Today’s workshop gave me so much food for thought. It helped structure and formalize things I already knew on some level, but now I have practical strategies on how I can tap into these ideas about finding calm, peace and wisdom on a daily basis. Today’s workshop has given me hope, optimism and deep motivation to practice meditation on a daily basis. Thank you so much for sharing.”
